The Woo Sisters are a piano and violin duo who teach both violin AND piano! We are located in Olympia, WA (Lacey), and we have had several wonderful additions to our studio as of late. (There is more information about us individually below.)

Our studio is equipped with a beautiful Steinway grand in perfect condition as well as a gorgeous mahogany Kawaii upright.

About us:

Piano instructor, Grace Woo, graduated from the University of Washington with a B.M. in piano performance under Dr. Robin McCabe, head of the piano department and previous director of music. She studied with Dr. Samuel Hsu, student of famed pedagogue, Rosina Lhevinne. She has performed with the UW Symphony multiple times and is widely sought after as an accompanist and teacher in the Seattle and Tacoma area.

Violin instructor, Esther Woo, is a full-scholarship student at UPS (University of Puget Sound), under Dr. Maria Sampen’s tutelage. She previously studied with Simon James, renowned violin pedagogue in Seattle and concertmaster of the Seattle Chamber Orchestra. Esther has resided on the faculty of POGO (Playing On Greater Olympia – a music program linked to the Boys & Girls Club). She has also studied extensively with Maria Larionoff, previous concertmaster of the Seattle Symphony. She studied at the Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan and has been a member of several orchestras in Seattle. She has served as concertmaster of several orchestras in the Olympic area, and has won several competitions including the Washington’s All-State and Solo/Ensemble.
